Greetings and welcome!
Someone, sorry I don't remember who, suggested a gallery on the WWW for the art work posted in the alt.binaries.3d.bryce news group. If the interest is still there, I have already got the foundation in place and the rest will come from the group. Why am I doing this? First off, I can get the web space for FREE. Second, I am an aspiring web site designer and this would be good experience for me. Third, you guys have some of the best postings I've run across. I've toyed with Bryce for a several weeks now and really enjoy escaping to somewhere else.
Ok, there is 10 Mb available here, and additional Fortune City accounts each have 10 Mb. My idea is to have the gallery start off here, with all files here (initially). As the gallery grows, I can get additional accounts for each person, and keep a "blue ribbon" collection here, with links to each "room" in the gallery.
How will I get the pictures? I will check the news group often (at least once a week) and harvest new pics that are posted. I won't change your pictures content, but I will convert them to smaller jpeg's just to save space. I'll also decide on a thumbnail size and make thumb's for all the images in the gallery. I'll let the creator of the images get a look at the work before it's announced as a courtsey. If additional room is needed for each artist, then either the artist or I can maintain the individual galleries.
To get the gallery off the ground (so to speak), I'd ask that you pick your 5 favorite landscapes and repost them. As I have time I'll get them added here. If i need to I can also add a message board here.
